Life Coach, Author and Podcaster, Serving the Special Needs Family

What Problem(s) Do You Solve?

Being a caretaker for a loved one with special needs can be challenging. My clients often come to me emotionally, mentally, and physically exhausted, and almost always heartbroken. Their family dynamics are sadly rife with resentment and nonstop power struggles where no one wins. None of what these families endure is fair. They feel shame about situations that are not of their own doing, yet they are fully responsible to handle them. My clients are often unable to process their circumstances because they don’t fully grasp what is transpiring. They feel judged, angry, trapped, and punished. This adds stress on top of already frayed relationships, and they simply need a safe place and a welcoming community.

Everyone learns differently, so I assess my clients’ abilities and available bandwidth. Then I optimize my proprietary Phoenix Protocol program to create understandable and practical steps for their success. Stress and negative energy limit focus, so I work with families to remove obstacles allowing them to see their situations and solutions clearly. I assist them in realizing their innate potential and provide support to keep them growing on their journey of healing. They finally feel there is a way out and then make it happen. My clients get their lives back, and in reality, the experience is better than they imagined it could be.

What Makes Your Business Unique?

I not only sympathize, but empathize, with my clients’ various predicaments. They are under surreal amounts of pressure which wreak havoc on their nervous systems. This, understandably, is not sustainable. I know because I have my own battles too, but I don’t stay in the pain. I am invested in them clearly understanding their truths and then acting in their best interests. Giving up is not an option. Staying positive, I tell them what they need to know, not what they want to hear. I am not their friend; I am their coach.

After we achieve our first accomplishment, we link it to the next achievement, and then on to another. We improve family dynamics because sustained success is built on working together, even if it is tense, and it usually is. I stress building on the strengths that exist, rather than indulging in false narratives that lead to profound disappointments. I always perceive a lot of love, but sometimes it is buried under years of anxiety, fear, and resentment. Through individual coaching, support (and venting) groups, we build resilience to the drama and trauma for all participating family members. I get real results by being the catalyst that transforms lives by transcending circumstances.
